Henry Paul Olgus, 88, of Terre Haute passed away June 13, 2022 in the Gibson Center for Hospice Care. He was born May 26, 1934 in Terre Haute to Paul and Lola Olgus. He was employed as a Mailer for the Tribune Star for over 50 years. He was a member of the Communications Workers of America Union. Henry served as the past president of the local mailers union for several years. He also was a past member of the Terre Haute Police Department’s Merit Board. Henry loved living in the city and taking “ride alongs” with the Police Department. He also enjoyed taking his wife on drives to the country to watch the wildlife. He cared for his friends and family by always checking on them and watching out for them. Henry was a great storyteller. He would have his audience laughing hysterically or completely absorbed in the event being told
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Elliot Bedwell. He is survived by his wife, Sue Olgus (m. 1/1/1966), daughters, Amy Meister, and Debra Neice, grandchildren; Ashely Ewing (Coty), Rachel Neice, and Henry Paul Neice, great grandchildren; Jacob and Roman Ewing, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 4pm until 7 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Burial will be Friday at 1 pm in Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences can be made at www.greinerfuneralhome.com
