Herbert "Herb" Charles Elliott

Herbert C. Elliott passed away October 16, 2020. Herb was born October 24, 1934 to Eugene F. Elliott and Blanche Mason Elliott.

Herb is survived by his wife, Pam Purcell Elliott, daughters; Teresa Buell (Dave) and Julie Brown (Bob), step children; Kevin Purcell (Lisa) and April Henry, grandchildren, David Buell (Christina), Michael Buell, Travis Rusk (Ashley), Meriah Henry, Deja Stevens, Brenan Rogers (Breklyn), 12 Cherished great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Harry Edwards, and several nieces and nephews.

After serving in the US Airforce during the Korean War, Herb was a lineman, a 65 year member of the IBEW, also serving as President and Business Manager of IBEW #1393.  He was a member of the F & AM, Scottish Rite, Kerman Grotto, lifetime and active member of the VFW and the American Legion Post 104, where he was a past commander. His first commitment was his love of family.  His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and football, all of which he especially enjoyed when with his grandsons. 

Herb is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 48 years Jill Taylor Elliott, sister, Ernestine Edwards, brother, Ernest Elliott, nephews; Chris Edwards, Steve Elliott, and Danny Elliott, and great granddaughter, Taylor Rusk.

Services for Herb will be Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 11 am in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN, 47804. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 4 pm until 7 pm, and on Wednesday October 21, 2020 from 10 am until service time.  A Masonic service will take place at 7 pm on Tuesday. The family requests that masks and or facial coverings be required to attend visitation and services.
