James Lee Allen

James Lee Allen, 65, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away April 26, 2021.  He was born June 3, 1955, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Robert L. Allen and Mildred J Jenkins.  He grew up in Sandcut and Foutanet.  He married Catherine Tabor on August 19, 1983 in Terre Haute, Indiana.  He is survived by his son Wiley J. Allen; 3 sisters Shirley Huber, Mary Wilkie (Bob), and Debi Fisher (Rick); and several nieces and nephews.  He owned and operated Brite Star Office and Floor Care since 1989.  James was an avid collector of military Relics since grade school.  He served in the Indiana UKA from 1973-1985, and was delegate to the National Klonvocation in Tuscaloosa, Alabama 1980-1981.  He became a friend of Bill W. in 1985.  James enjoyed drinking Asian teas in all it’s forms and devoted much more time to it.  He often submitted old photos and articles to local newspapers, history books, and had been published in more than 83 countries.  No services are scheduled at this time.  The family has entrusted Greiner Funeral Home with care and arrangements.
