James C. Roberts

James C. Roberts, 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 24, 2025. He was born on August 4, 1956 in Brazil, Indiana, the son of Clyde and Anne Elizabeth Heiliger Roberts. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his brother, John Scott; and his sister, Alice Roberts. Jim married Barbara Stanley Roberts on June 9, 1989  and together they shared 36 years together. He worked at Great Danes an Auto cad drafter for many years as well as Applied Computing Devices, where he was known for his sense of humor. Jim greatly enjoyed long walks with his dog, Maddie, and his granddogs, Molly and Olive. He loved gardening and was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and Indiana University athletics. He especially cherished time with his grandchildren and would light up whenever he saw them. He was a good father and a fun-loving, proud grandpa. Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara Stanley Roberts of Terre Haute, Indiana; his sister, Kay Lynn  (Dan) Sanders of Terre Haute, Indiana; his three children, Traci (Mark) McCreery of Terre Haute, Indiana, Angela (Don) Cox of Brazil, Indiana, and Jamie Roberts of Brazil, Indiana; his four grandchildren, Brock, Mason, Nathan, and Ava; and many nieces and nephews.
