James Timothy Grubb

James ‘Jim” Timothy Grubb, 60, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away October 9, 2019.  He was born March 28, 1959, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Bernard Grubb and Barbara (Bennett) Grubb.  James served in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School.  Jim was a member of Northside Church of Christ, where he had served as a Song Leader.  He was an avid Chicago Bears fan, Chicago Cubs fan.  Jim enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle.  He was also an avid baseball player, he even played in a semi-professional league.  Jim had an infectious smile, and was always kind.  Jim is survived by his mother Barbara Grubb; his wife Debbie (Morse) Grubb; children Chastity Spencer (Gary), Patrick Grubb (Tracy Hubbard), Sean Grubb (Emily), Abby Lamb (Logan), and Jenny Thorton; grandchildren Cameron Grubb, Akyli Dillahunt, Amayli Dillahunt, Levi Lamb, Lilly Lamb, Aiden Lamb, Seth Thorton, and Britney Dickerson; great grandchildren Melanie and Camilah; siblings Kenneth Grubb (Betsy), John Grubb (Beatrix), and Peggy Severhof (Rudy); and sister-in-law Beverly Grubb.  Jim was preceded in death by his father; brother David Grubb, and infant sister Jane Ann Grubb.  Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00p.m., October 14, 2019 at Northside Church of Christ, 1356 5th Ave, Terre Haute, Indiana 47807. Brother Mike Ferris will officiate.  Military honors will also be given at that time.  Visitation will be at the church on Monday, from 1:00p.m. until service time. In honoring Jim’s wishes, cremation has been chosen after services.    Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
