James “Randy” Jackson, 62, of Terre Haute, went to the Kingdom of Heaven on May 19, 2021 at 10:25 am, after a battle with cancer. He was born October 3, 1958, the youngest of 6, to John and Elizabeth Jackson. Randy wore many hats throughout his life. He worked as a carpenter, plumber, caregiver, and most recently as a custodian for the Vigo County School Corporation. He also wore the hat of husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He enjoyed playing guitar and being with his grandchildren.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, Janice Miller, and two brothers, John and Art Jackson.
Randy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lori Jackson, children, Eric and Shelly Jackson of Michigan, Lacey Miller, Heather Jackson, and Brandon Jackson, all of Terre Haute, 4 grandchildren; Caden Jackson of Michigan, Liam and Daylin Winn of Brazil, and Logan “Roy” Lowe of Terre Haute, sisters; Tina and Kelly Dougherty of Georgia, Linda Johnson of Indianapolis, brother, Wray and his wife Donna Jackson of Ohio, sisters-in-law; Sally Jackson of Tennessee, and Theresa Jackson of Terre Haute, along with many nieces and nephews. Randy is also survived by his lifelong friend, Chris Gentry of North Carolina.

Cremation was chosen with a celebration of life to be held on May 30th, 2021 from 2 pm until 5 pm in the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Terre Haute.
