Jane Smith Obituary

Jane Ann Smith, 59, of Terre Haute, passed away from injuries sustained in a vehicular accident on Saturday June 5, 2021. Jane was born on April 29, 1962 in Terre Haute to Harold Harbrueger and Betty Lou Norris Harbrueger. Jane was a licensed beautician and was the owner of Jane’s Place Beauty Shop. She enjoyed camping and time on the beach with her family as well as crafts and working in her yard and garden. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Vicky Brenton. She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Smith of Terre Haute, whom she married May 16, 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Janarae (Kreig) Wallen of Brazil and a son, Jaden Smith (Stephanie) of Terre Haute. She is survived by two granddaughters; Eleanor and Lillian Wallen also of Brazil. She is survived by three brothers; Richard (Jane) Harbrueger of Seymor, IN., Bill (Betty) Harbrueger of Knightsville, IN., and Ed Harbrueger (Lynn) of Terre Haute as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at a later day, cremation has been planned. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, was entrusted with arrangements.
