John Wesley Jenkins III, 45, of Clinton, Indiana passed away October 21, 2021. He was born on June 13th, 1976 in Terre Haute, Indiana to John W. Jenkins II and Teresa "Teri" (Roby) Morse. Johnny worked at Duke Energy in the Control Room. He was a member of Independent Baptist Church in Montezuma, Indiana. He was also a member of IBEW 1393. He was a great friend, son, brother, loving husband and father. Johnny was an excellent mechanic and was well known to be able to fix anything. Johnny is survived by his wife of 18 years April (Threlkeld) Jenkins. Also surviving are their children Abi Jenkins, Wesley Jenkins, Emily Jenkins, Dylan Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, Ella Threlkeld and Daniel Threlkeld; his father John W. Jenkins II (Susan Isles); his mother Teri Morse (Kenneth); grandfather John W. Jenkins; siblings Joshua Jenkins (Amanda) and Jordan Jenkins; father-in-law David Threlkeld; brother-in-law Daniel Threlkeld; Uncle Kim Roby and Aunt Cheryl Gaither (Bob); and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Johnny was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Sandra Threlkeld, paternal grandparent Betty Jenkins, maternal grandparents Mary Farr, Shannon and Norma Roby and cousin Alana Roby. The family will have a private service Friday October 29th, 2021 from 1-3pm at the Sandcut Firehouse Department. Friends and family are welcome to join us from 3-7pm for a Celebration of Life at the firehouse. Johnny will always be deeply loved and missed. May he rest in peace. The family has entrusted Greiner Funeral Home with the care and arrangements.
