John Tyrone McDaniel

John Tyrone McDaniel “Ty’, 54, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away December 20, 2018.  He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, to John McDaniel and Roberta Sue (Cravis) McDaniel.  John enjoyed working infield at the Indianapolis 500.  He enjoyed being at the dirt track watching the races, watching football, fishing, mushroom hunting, and listening to Blackberry Smoke.  John worked at Sony DADC for many years.  He enjoyed working on washer and dryers on the side.  He loved life.  John never knew a stranger, had many friends, and will be missed by all that knew him.  He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Eric Patton Jr.; and brother Rob Lamb. John is survived by his wife Virginia “Ginnie” McDaniel; children Crystal Young (Michael), Eric Patton (Kerry Brunt-Meloon), and Jennifer McDaniel-Uhl (Stephen); grandchildren Christopher Conder, Mariah Young, Jalin Patton, Lathyn Patton, Silas Gage, Ava Patton, Kinley Patton, Liam Brady, Quinn Uhl, and Ellie Uhl; sister Rolanda Dinkel; brother and sister-in-laws Shelly and Wayne Gilbert, Ronnie Holbrook, Carl Holbrook; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, December 28, 2018, at 1:00p.m.in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, from 12:00p.m. until service time.
