Judith Carol Anderson, 76, passed away on January 8, 2025, in Osage Beach, Missouri. Judith was born April 23, 1948, in Terre Haute, IN, to Clarence Herman and Evelyn Rebecca Niccum Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Anderson, she was also preceded in death by her father and mother; a son, Westley Brock; and a daughter, Dixie Brock. Other loved ones who passed on before her include Sandy Niccum, Nelda Aubry, Zelda Bedwell, Randy Smith, George Alen Herman, and Ruth Ann Long. She is survived by a daughter, Kittie Shaw (David). She is also survived by several brothers, including Gary Herman (Liz), Harry Morrison, William Taylor, Randy Peebles, and Charles Peebles (Cindy); and sisters Rose Merritt, Becky Dupin (Jerry), and Nema (Matthew) Lowe. She also leaves behind grandchildren Doug Edwards (Robyn), David Shaw (Jessica), Austin Shaw (Harley), Elana Nichols (Jeremiah) , Jesse Murphy (Mackenzie), and Sibrina Potts Devlin) . In addition, Judith’s legacy will be carried on another generation by several living great-grandchildren including: Avery, Khloe, and Autumn Shaw; Landry and Jentry Nichols, Giovanni Edwards, Layton Shaw; Payton, Preslee, and Parker Murphy; Jordan and Kassius Potts; Brylee Harris; and Sylar Nisbet. Judith worked in the food service industry at MCL Restaurant and Bakery for many years. Following this, she enjoyed the rewarding work of being an in-home caregiver. Judith had quite a variety of hobbies and activities, including baking cookies and cakes, gardening, watching TV, and doing word searches. In addition to those, she enjoyed attending car shows and going for rides in Corvettes, caring for people in her neighborhood in addition to her own loved ones, and spending time with family and friends. Judith was also an animal lover which was evidenced by the fact that she was always taking in strays. Services are Tuesday January 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Funeral Home.
