Kathleen Ann (Winemiller) Padget

Kathleen Ann Padget, 94, of Terre Haute, passed away June 24, 2024 at Signature Health Care. Kathleen was born on February 18, 1930 in Vincennes, IN, to Kleeman Winemiller and Iva Wyatt Winemiller. She was a longtime member of St. Margaret Mary Church. She served as an usher and many other volunteer positions at the church. She was a graduate of Oaktown High School. She was a retired Registered Nurse graduating from St. Anthony School of Nursing in 1951. She was on staff at St. Anthony Hospital when the concept of Intensive Patient Care began. Kathleen was named head nurse of the new department which was very progressive at the time. She was the recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award in 1993. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Farrell Winemiller, a daughter, Carol Ann Padget Gannon and her husband, Robert J. Padget in 2000. She is survived by one son, Kevin Padget (Beth Ann) of Terre Haute. Grandchildren; Jesica Gannon, Rob Padget, Grace Padget Rivelli, Madison Del Vallee and Lillian Padget Yocum as well as several nieces and nephews. Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 2405 S. 7th Street. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
