Keri Murphy Obituary

Keri Renee Coleman Murphy, 43, passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of May 2nd, 2020 at her home in Cory, IN.  She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, and friend.
Keri was born on November 18, 1976 to Jerry W. and Donna (Hiestand) Coleman in Bloomington and attended the Bloomington Free Methodist Church throughout her youth. Upon graduating from Edgewood High School in 1995, she moved to Terre Haute and worked for CellularOne, Cingular Wireless, and finally spent many devoted years working at AT&T until February of this year.
Keri married Jim Murphy in 2008 and gave birth to her daughter Kyndel a short time after. They resided in Cory, where Keri volunteered many hours at the Bad Apple Saloon over the past several years. Keri loved meeting and getting to know the musical talent at the Bad Apple, and was in her element working with the bands, her friends, and patrons who visited. She loved attending Colts football games with her friends and had one of the best Colts-themed wardrobes around.
Keri is survived by her husband Jim and daughter Kyndel of Cory, step son Zachary Spillman of Brazil IN, mother Donna Middleton (Gary) of Ellettsville IN, sister Kristi Alderson (Randy) of Gosport IN, sister Tracey Solano (Nick) of Northbrook, IL, sister Jana Schneider (Scott) of Greenwood IN, step grandkids Koen and Talon of Brazil IN, step sister Beth Jones (Jeff) of St John WA, step brothers Shawn Middleton (Christine) of Colorado Springs CO and Chris Middleton (Lori) of Moscow ID, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who adored her. She was proceeded in death by her father Jerry, grandparents Hollis and Norma Hill, Eugene M. Hiestand, George and Martha Coleman, Uncles Carl Bowman and Jeff Coleman, and close cousins Will Bowman and Beth Hardman.
We are shocked and saddened by Keri's passing.  She was a vibrant, funny, stubborn, and beautiful person and was a friend to all she met, lighting up any room she entered.  Her legacy, looks, and laughter are passed on in her daughter Kyndel, for whom a memorial contribution  fund has been set up to honor Keri's memory and to help with arrangements at https://www.gofundme.com/f/wnu5r-keri-coleman-murphy-memorial-fund?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=m_pd+share-sheet.
Greiner Funeral Home in Terre Haute is in charge of arrangements.  A celebration of Keri's life will be held at a future date and time that will be announced.
