Kevin Gene King was born to Barbara Miller and Roy Gene King in Vincennes, Indiana on October 4, 1956.
Kevin passed away on December 26, 2025, at Springhill Village nursing home. Kevin lived most of his life in Oaktown and Vincennes, Indiana. When Kevin required long term care he chose to be located near his only daughter and 3 of his grandchildren in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Kevin is best remembered for his honesty and integrity. He loved animals, fishing, and spending quality time with his family and friends. Kevin had a good heart and was a good man.
Kevin leaves behind 4 children. Jason King, Joshua King (Vanessa), Danielle King (fiancé Kevin Mix—cherished as a son), and Tyler King. His life included 2 stepchildren, Cynthia Green and Donna Green. No one can forget his favorite, Sophie, beloved cat and longtime companion. Kevin’s grandchildren include Trinity, Brenden, Maddyson, Myah, Madden, McKenna, and Cynthia’s son William.
Kevin enjoyed target shooting with his son Tyler, hunting and collecting arrow heads, old Western shows and Disney. His home was decorated honoring Cowboys and Indigenous People. Even though Kevin always weighed a little over 120 pounds he could eat 3 Big Mac’s…he enjoyed a good meal.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, brother, Tony King, grandson William Reed, and ex-wife Cindy L. Cooper. Kevin is loved and will be missed by his father, 2 living siblings Randy King (Tracy), Kristie Page (John), sister-in-law Debbie King (Tony) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Kevin had many good friends over the years. Their relationships are strong even after one went to Heaven. The last few years include his special friends Moe Hanger, Tim Shaffer and Johnny Winemiller.
Kevin’s wish is to have a graveside service and lay him to rest in Oaktown, IN cemetery next to the gravesite of his Mother.
His daughter, Danielle King, asks for family and friends to gather to pay Kevin the respect that he always believed you do when someone passes.
Graveside service arrangements are being made.
