Kreta Dawn (Petty) Hermanson

Kreta Dawn Petty-Hermanson, 60, of Terre Haute,
IN, passed away on July 31, 2025, after a
courageous battle with breast cancer. She was
born on April 20, 1965, to the late Mary Ruth
Grigsby and Houston Petty.

Her loving heart was most evident in her family
life. She is survived by her husband of over 30
years, Timothy Hermanson, and was a motherly
influence to her niece and nephews Creta (Kenny),
Corey, Creta, Collin, Capone, and Johnny. She also
leaves siblings LaWanna, Chris (Anna), Natalie,
Craig, Ronnie, and John John and a host of other

nieces and nephews.

As a woman of deep faith, Kreta’s family takes
comfort knowing she is free from pain and with
her Heavenly Father, finding peace in the words of
2 Corinthians 5:8: "To be absent from the body is

to be present with the Lord.”
