Lee McClean Newton

Lee McClean Newton, 43, Terre Haute, left this earthly life on Thursday March 13, 2025 at 9:45pm at University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on October 8, 1981, in Terre Haute, to JR Newton and Trudy Beltz Newton. Lee was selfless.  He would do anything for anyone.  He was known to be handy, and if he could not fix it, he would watch videos to teach himself how to. He was a member of the I.U.O.E. Local 841 In Terre Haute, Indiana. He was proud of his career and loved operating equipment.  Lee was a 2000 graduate of Terre Haute North High School. His interests included fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, bowling, shooting all types of guns, and most definitely his family. Lee also enjoyed grilling and cooking. He enjoyed outdoor activities and was very active in Boy Scouts of America for many years where he received the Order of Arrow and his Eagle award.  Survivors are his best friend and wife, Marni, his mother and father; 3 sons; Hunter Newton, Jeremiah Newton and Caden Newton; two stepsons; Griffin and Karson Mowrer, and nephews Elijah Newton and Gram, Jaxson, and Silas. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerod C Newton; maternal grandparents, Claude and Rosemary Beltz and paternal grandparents, Edith Gummere and Vernice Newton. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is on Thursday March 20, 2025, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. A celebration of life will be at 7pm with Pastor Bill Wiggs officiating.
