Leonard P “Buzz” Kauffman, 71, of Terre Haute, IN, died December 8, 2025 in his home.

He was born February 9, 1954 in Terre Haute to Richard and Jeanne (Ferres) Kauffman.

Survivors include two brothers, Michael, of Sullivan, IN and Kevin of Terre Haute, IN; five sisters, Ann, Patricia, Mary, Claudia, all of Terre Haute, IN and Paula of Newburgh, IN; Aunt Kathleen Ferres Treme as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Buzz was formerly employed at GTE and retired from the Terre Haute Parks Department after many years of service. He led a quiet, simple life and enjoyed his daily visits to Charlie’s and was a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears.

Buzz was a kind and loving brother and friend. He will be missed by all.

There will be no services and a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
