Lester Allen Cohen

Elder Lester Allen Cohen was born January 11, 1956 in Terre Haute, IN to Allen Cohen, Jr. and Catherine Rudd  Cohen and passed away on May 3o, 2021. Lester graduated from State High School in 1974. Lester met and married Angie Shepherd and this union was blessed with one son- Lester Allen, Jr.  Later in life he met and married Julie Seaton. After several years the marriage was dissolved.  He was employed at Garland Foundry, Alcan and retired from Ivy Hill. He was certified as a Heavy Equipment and Trucking Associate. Lester accepted Christ early in life and became a member of Refuge Church of Jesus later in life. He loved being with his family and old school friends.  He enjoyed Motown Music. His hobbies included Softball – “The Pitcher and The Captain Team Leader”- and Basketball.  He was in the Motor Cycle Club- The Street of Thunder Club. Lester Loved to cook his Barbeque – “The Barbeque Expertise.’ Lester was preceded in death by his father, Allen Jr; Step-father, William Hayden, two sisters, Debra Berkins and Carolyn Crawford and one brother Donnie Gresham. Lester leaves memories to be cherished by his loving mother , Catherine Hayden, sister Dedra (Elder Ronald) Tyler, brother, Trent (Valerie) Hart, brother, Derrick Hart, sister, Dorothy Johnson; sister, Rachel Brewer: Son, Lester Allen, Jr; 3 Step-sons Billy Wise, Mark Wise, and Patrick Fortson; 2 grandchildren, Zarianna Cohen and Zaiden Cohen Uncle Willoseby Kelly and a host of relatives from Decatur, Al, Indianapolis and Morganfield Ky
