Linda Helen Walker Durham

Linda Helen Walker Durham 71 of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away at Westridge Healthcare on August 4th, 2023, at 10:10pm. Linda was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on December 30th, 1951, to Frank and Vivian Walker of Farmersburg, Indiana. She attended North Central High School class of 1970. She graduated from ISU in 1998. 

Linda was a homemaker. She also worked at the Terre Haute Senior Center and the Terre Haute Childrens Museum. She enjoyed going shopping, watching Jeopardy, going to the races every Saturday, her cats and drinking Diet Coke. Her great-grandson Dominick Jr brought her much joy at the end of her life, and she cherished her moments with him. She influenced many children and always had food for anyone that was hungry. Linda will be missed by many.  

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Frank Dennis Walker and Vivian Louise Schultz Walker of Farmersburg, her life partner Henry Hicks of Terre Haute and several special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

 She’s survived by her siblings Carolyn Shipley of Pairieton, Joy Russell (Dusty) of Farmersburg and Dennis Walker (Kelly) of Shelburn. Her child Miranda Durham of Terre Haute, stepdaughter Stephanie Plott (Bobby) of Anderson, SC, stepson Steven Hicks (Ramicia) of Terre Haute, her grandchildren Khloe Wiley (Dominick Sr), Liam Shattuck, Benjamin Hux, Jackson Whitfield, Libby Whitfield, Alie Whitfield, Gracelyn Hicks, Gabrielle Hicks, great-grandson Dominick Jr and several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. 

Linda is also survived by a few special aunts and uncles, many cousins and many friends. 

Linda’s Celebration of Life will be Sunday, August 20th, 2023, located at 6067 Old Maple Ave at the Burkeybyle Shelter in Hawthorn Park from 12pm-4pm.
