Mackie "Jayd" Waldon

Mackie Jayd Waldon "Jayd", 23, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2023. She was born on June 1, 2000, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Jason Waldon and Angela (Robinson) Waldon.  Jayd had returned to school to obtain her High School Diploma. Jayd had big dreams of becoming a recording artist. Jayd was strong willed and passionate.  Jayd loved animals and was protective of the ones she loved. Her greatest accomplishment was her daughter.

Jayd was preceded in death by her mother Angela Waldon; grandfathers Marion "Carl" Waldon and Terry L. Robinson; and uncle Matthew L. Robinson.

She is survived by her daughter Anastasia Lawson; father Jason Waldon (Brooke Knight); siblings Wyatt Waldon, Brandon R. Sparks, and Cheyenne Hurst; grandparents Kathy Waldon and Lynn Robinson; aunts and uncles Justin Waldon (Tracey), Travis Waldon (Stacy Perry), Megan Higginbotham (Matt), Eric (Tina) Robinson, and Bradford (Ashley) Robinson.  Also surviving are many cousins and extended family.  A celebration of life will be on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm., at the Riley American Legion.
