Margaret Ann Ellinger

Margaret Ann Ellinger, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 14th. She
was born on December 17, 1947, in Vigo County, Indiana, to the late Wayne and Helen Payton. She
was 3 days short of 78 years at the time of her passing.
She married the love of her life, Harold Lee Ellinger Sr, August 14 th , 1965, and together they built a
beautiful family rooted in love and faith. They celebrated their 60 th wedding anniversary this year. She
was the proud mother of four sons: Harold Jr., William, Craig, and Christopher (who preceded her in
death this past July). Her legacy continues through her MANY grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
all of whom she cherished deeply.
In her younger years, she worked at Columbia House Records, but her greatest joy was caring for her
family. She was a devoted member of Faith Outreach Family Church in Terre Haute and lived her life
guided by faith and compassion. She loved creating art—painting, sketching, and decorating—and
found happiness in sharing her creativity with others. She loved cooking and loved hosting dinners.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Christopher, and a grandchild. She is survived by
her loving husband Harold Sr., her sons Harold Jr., William, and Craig, her grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, and her extended family of brothers, sisters, and stepfamily members.
Her family will forever remember her as a woman of strength, kindness, and unwavering love. Family
was everything to her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
