Margaret Ann Jones, 91, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away in her home on May 2, 2025, surrounded by her family she loved. Margaret was born in Vincennes, Indiana on August 11, 1933, to her late parents Owen and Margaret (Watjen) Orndorff. Margaret married the love of her life Eurvin Jones on May 7, 1951. They built a life together for 65 years until his passing in 2016. Margaret loved being a wife and homemaker and most importantly a mother of three which brought her so much love and joy. Anyone that knew Margaret knew of her positive spirit and kindness. The love she had for her entire family, and her great friendships in her community of lifelong neighbors. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her so much happiness. Margaret loved to crochet and bake and watch her wild birds and being surrounded by beautiful flowers and spending time with her family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and husband Eurvin; her brother Charles “Arnie” and Marilyn Orndorff; niece Lynne Orndorff Sinclair of Vincennes.
Margaret is survived by her children and their spouses Diana and Mike Jones, Julie and Randy Hayne and Keith and Tracy Jones. Grandchildren and great grandchildren Ryan (Marilyn) Jones and their children Cayden, Ava and Connor; Chelsea (Rickey) Willis and her children Alexander (Madyson) Walker, Scott, Makinze, Abigail Willis and grandchild Everest Walker; Eli (Brittany) Malooley and their children Ailyn and Adleigh; Landon Jones; Cassidy (Tyler) Jones; Trevor Jones. Her sister Carolyn Barksdale of Terre Haute, Indiana and nieces and nephew Edward Baksdale (Thelma); Barbara Ann (Lance) Percy; Pamela Sue (David) Kiley; Christine Barksdale and several great nieces and nephews. Also, nieces Jody Morgan and Connie Watjen and great nieces and nephews and Brother-in-law Larry Howerton.
With special thanks to neighbors Damon Walls and Lela Manuel and the Nidiffer family for always watching over her. As for her wishes, there will be no service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Greiner Funeral Home is helping with the arrangements.
