Marilyn Schaible Obituary

Marilyn Dorothea Schaible, 91, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at her residence. She was born January 27, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan to John Ruppel Jr. and Arletta Lang Ruppel.

Survivors include her sons; Michael Schaible and his wife Anita of Findley, Ohio and Phillip Schaible and his wife Karen of Green Bay, Wisconsin and her daughter; Babette (Babs) Bellgraph and her husband Gerry of Shelburn; eight grandchildren, Anna Moody and her husband Sam, Eric Schaible and his wife Paige, Jon Bellgraph and his wife Cortney, Aaron Bellgraph, Lucas Schaible, Claire Schaible, Eva Schaible and Lydia Schaible; and three great granddaughters, Misti Bellgraph, Ashlynn Bellgraph and Amira Bellgraph. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Rev. Hillmer John Schaible and her sister Elaine Reimer.

Marilyn was a retired elementary school teacher. She taught school for 28 years. She was gifted in music and played the organ and piano. She also directed choir for many years. She was an accomplished singer and sang for many weddings and funerals over the years.

Her final thoughts were to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, “You have been by far the greatest blessing the Lord gave me on this earth. He promised me an eternity of further bliss and I have gone to claim my inheritance. My mission is complete. Comfort one another as you await His summons.”

Services for Marilyn will be Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11 am in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 645 Poplar St, Terre Haute, IN 47807. A visitation is scheduled from 10 am to service time at the church on Monday.  Pastor Sutton will officiate. Online condolences can be made at www.greinerfuneralhome.com
