Martha Marie Porter

Martha Marie Porter, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away Saturday November 17, 2018 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice. Martha was born January 25, 1933 in Bloomington, IN, to John Trueblood and Martha Cherry Trueblood.  Martha was retired from Indiana State University as an Administrative Assistant in the School of Arts and Sciences. She was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ. She loved her Lord, family and especially her children and grandchildren.  She loved to sing and could light up a room with her smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Ann, Betty, Jim, Phil, John Jr, Dick and David. She is also preceded in death by her husband and sweetheart, Mitchell Porter who passed away in 2016.  She is survived by one son, Mitchell “Mike” Wade Porter and his wife Lora of Huntsville, AL, three daughters; Michelle Stucker and her husband Marc of Rockville, IN, Monica Ingalls and her husband Brian of Eatonville, WA, and Melanie Bailey of Shelburn, IN. She is survived by two brothers; Ronnie Trueblood and his wife Mary of Shreveport, LA, and Larry Trueblood and his wife Mary Jane of Franklin, IN. She is survived by two sisters, Virginia Dixon of Nashville, IN, and Patty Miller and her husband Charlie of Louisville, KY. She is survived by fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Services are at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Northwest Church of Christ, 625 Florida Avenue, Terre Haute, IN. 47804. Visitation is on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street were entrusted with arrangements.
