Marvin L Johnson

Marvin L Johnson, 92, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on May 5, 2025. Marvin was born on October 2, 1932, in Hudson, South Dakota to Elmer and Alice Johnson. Marvin was a 1951 Graduate of Wiley High School. He served as an Army Medic in the Korean War and then worked as head mechanic for John Deere. In 1967 he joined the Terre Haute Fire Department and retired from the THFD in 1995. He married the love of his life, Sallie Jane Hutker on December 19, 1954.

Marvin was preceded in death by his Mother Alice Johnson; Father Elmer Johnson; Brothers Duane (Margie) and Veryl; Brother-in-laws Bob Shaffer and Dean McKeen; Sister-in-laws Marty Johnson, Sue Shaffer and Patti McKeen.

Marvin is survived by his children Larry (Cathy) Johnson; Sara (Kevin) Richmond and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great great great grandchildren.

In honoring his wishes, cremation has been chosen.
