Mary Etta (Sollars) Sappington

Mary Etta Sappington,75, of Terre Haute, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 8, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on April 18, 1944 in Terre Haute to Arthur L. Sollars and Mildred M. Setty Sollars.  Mary was a member of the Bible Baptist Church.  She enjoyed knitting, word searches, sewing, and crocheting.  She cared deeply for her family, and helped raise her grandchildren.  She loved to cook, and her family will miss her fried chicken. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Kenneth Sollars, sisters; Juanita Atterson, and Nancy Edington.

She is survived by her husband and childhood sweetheart, Arthur Sappington (m. 6/8/1962), sons; Christopher Sappington (Rebecca), Arthur Sappington Jr.(Faye) and Daniel Sappington (Robin), daughter, Michelle Ritchey (Steven), brother, Jerry Sollars, sisters; Suzette Snow (Larry), Margaret Elkins (Tom) and Melissa Sollars, grandchildren; Ashley, Dustin, Samuel, Kaela, Daniel, Gabrielle, Haley, Rileigh, Courtney, and Casey, along with 17 great grandchildren with one on the way. 

Services for Mary will be Monday January 13, 2020 at 11 am in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday January 12, 2020 from 4 pm until 6 pm in the funeral home, and again on Monday 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
