Mary Kay Humphrey

Mary Kay Humphrey, 74, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away June 3, 2021.  She was born March 9, 1947, in Terre Haute, Indiana to James Martin and Mary Jane (Morrison) Martin.  Mary Kay graduated from Schulte High School.  She was proud to have worked for Union Hospital for 40 years as a Medical Assistant.  She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She served on Sacred Heart’s Parish Council in the Mid 90’s.  She was active in the church youth groups.   She was also active with Young Democrats.  Most of all, Mary Kay cherished being a grandma and great grandma.  She adored her grandbabies. Family meant everything to her.   She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jerry Humphrey.  Mary Kay is survived by her daughters Alicia Franklin and Kimberly Humphrey; sisters Peggy Osborne and Roberta Martin; grandchildren Britney Powers (Zachary), Kian Franklin, and Devonn Franklin; great grandchildren Grayson Powers, Everleigh Powers, and Potter Powers; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. .  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 11:00a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2232 N 13 ½ Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 3:00p.m. until 7:00p.m, in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of Providence.
