Mary Lou Nens Morris, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away December 30, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born December 16, 1939 to Jules and Eleanor Nens. She graduated from Valley High as Salutatorian of her class. She retired from Standard Register after many years of working. She taught piano and accordion at Conservatory of Music and was inducted into the Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame in 2017. She was known for her musical ability and played for school events, charities, and local jams. She enjoyed Sunday morning brunches at her house with her family. She loved dancing and was always the star of the dance floor. In 1960 she married the love of her life Charles Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters – Julie Lynch and Tina Morris, Great-Grandson Jacob Morris, brother – Leonard Nens, her partner of 33 years, Terry “Dink” Simonson and son-in-law Chuck “Bugsy” Malone. She is survived by her children Debbie Malone (John Newburn) and Chuck Morris II (Jane); Grandchildren- Scott McCoskey (Michelle Elmore), JD McCoskey (Samantha), Molly Malone (Rob Cooper), Mandy Malone (Steven Hejari), Ryan Morris (Misty Story), Christy Malone (Bedwell), Lisa Lane (Brent), and Jenny Haeseker (Brent); several Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren with two more on the way; and her siblings Patsy Bedwell and John Nens (Anne); and several nieces, nephews and extended family and many friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1pm at Greiner Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time on Saturday. Entombment will take place after services in Roselawn Memorial Park. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to The ALS Association. ���
