Mechiell Lynn Whitehead

Mechiell Lynn Whitehead, 45, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on October 28, 2025.  She was born on August 19, 1980, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Billy Gilbert and Tammy (Fuller) Gilbert.  She worked in the nursing field for several years at Bethesda Gardens.  She later was a homemaker.  Mechiell was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and mamaw. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her dog.  She will be greatly missed.  Mechiell is survived by her husband of 14 years, Donny Whitehead; sons Cody Gilbert and Nathan Gilbert; grandchildren Sophia, Colton, and Alice; 3 half-brothers; step children Cara, Brenna, Brooke, and Samantha; cousins Thomas Finney and Paul Finney; best friend that was like a sister Christina Stunich (Troy) and their children Chassidy, Skylar, Bryson, Connor, and Zoey; also longtime friend Jennifer Gosnell.  She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, November 7, 2025, at 2:00p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park.
