Melinda "Mindy" Jane Thoms

Melinda Jane Thoms, “Mindy”, 74, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on July 13, 2024.  She was born on May 19, 1950, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to John Hart Sr. and Virginia (McCreedy) Hart.  Mindy was a longtime volunteer with the Vigo County Youth Football Organization.  She was also a crossing guard.  Mindy is survived by her children Richard Bell II, Gretchen Thoms (Chris), and Carl Thoms (Loretta); grandchildren Shania Bell (Ronnie), Jason Thoms, Noah Thoms, Alexis Gouker, Alivia Gouker, and Avienne Gouker; great grandchildren Damian, Sandy, and Everly; siblings Harry Hart, Michael Hart, Larry Hart (Diane), Leila Short, Nancy Hart, and Virginia Church; several nieces and nephews.  Mindy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl Thoms; and siblings Charlie Hart, Robert “Blackie” Hart, Johnny Hart, Sheila Mundy, and Margaret Goodman. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 22, 2024, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home.  A burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  The visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, from 11:00a.m. until service time.
