“Mickey” Mildred Faye Williams Simmons, 85, passed away December 30, 2018 in her home. She was born April 24, 1933 to Mr. and Mrs. Williams in Neatsville, Kentucky. She was a member of Christ Temple Church. She worked for 14 years at the We Care Daycare. She loved music; listening to gospel music and singing with the church choir. She loved to make noodles for holiday meals. She was the most tender hearted woman in the world. She loved flowers, and gardening. She was a tremendous pastor’s wife.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edward Williams, and a sister, Joann Burton and her husband Clifton of Edinburgh, Indiana. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, a Korean War Veteran, Donald Simmons, a son, Alvin Lee Jarvis, step daughters, Corina L. Weaver and Judith E Bedford both of Terre Haute, brothers; Ronald, Billy, and Eugene Williams, her sisters, a grandson, Robert Jarvis, nephew, Dennis Simmons, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Services for Mickey will Thursday January 3, 2019 in Christ Temple Church, 2311 Locust St, Terre Haute, IN 47807 at 1 pm. Visitation will be from 11 am until service time at the church on Thursday. Pastor Merrill Weir Jr. will officiate. Care and arrangements were entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.
