Nancy L. Frye, 74, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday January 24, 2019 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by her family. Nancy was born January 29, 1944 in Paris, IL to Clyde Howard Smith and Dicie Louise Sanders Smith. Nancy was an Administrative Assistant for over 30 years for The Sycamore Agency and ONI Risk Partners. She was a 1961 graduate of Gertsmeyer High School, one of her proudest accomplishments was that she competed with her classmate Tommy John for several magazine competitions while in school. She enjoyed Bingo nights with “the girls”, antiquing and yard sales with her husband. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son in – law, Paul Leturgez and a sister Linda Taylor. Nancy is survived by her husband Harlan Frye, the love of her life whom she married May 26, 1986. She is survived by daughters, Mindy Leturgez and Marla Flowers (Randy) both of Terre Haute, and Lana Watson (Bob) of O’Fallen, IL. One son Kevin Frye (Sheryl) of Denver, CO. Two Sisters survive, Doris Taylor and Carolyn Trefz (John) all of Marshall, IL. Eight Grandchildren survive; Matt Hendrickson (Sarah), Marc Hendrickson, Kyle DeHart (Tess), Robert Watson (Courtney), Caleb Watson, Derek DeHart (Quinn Fox), Alex Frye and Lauren Frye. She is survived by two great grandchildren; Jay Randall DeHart and Madalyn Hendrickson who is on the way. She is survived by one special niece, Ann Smith as well as other nieces and nephews. Services are Tuesday January 29th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Lee will be officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Vigo County Historical Society, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
