Nancy Rose Russell

Nancy Rose Russell, 78, of Shelburn, Indiana, finished her race January 2, 2021 and is safe in the arms of Jesus.  She was the biblical definition of a wife to her husband of 57 years, Thomas Roland Russell, and mother to her children, Tracie, Michael T. (deceased), and Sara. She held clerical positions in local businesses and at the First Christian Church in Sullivan, Indiana where she was also a member. Born June 11, 1942, Nancy was the oldest daughter of Francis Hall Bogard and Dorothy Melvina (Foutz) Bogard Brown. A woman of tremendous integrity, Nancy lived her faith and many lives were touched by her kind heart, generous spirit and excellent cooking. She is remembered with love by her husband, daughters, Lynn Stevens, sisters Joyce Bogard Majewski, Judy Bogard Bombal and Beth Bogard Loudermilk, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, and her sister, Jennifer Bogard. The family has entrusted Greiner Funeral Home with care and arrangements. To honor her wishes, no services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s name to the First Christian Church in Sullivan, Indiana.
