Nelta Maxine Pippins, 91, of Terre Haute passed away June 15, 2018 in Harrison’s Crossing Healthcare at 7:05 pm. She was born May 26, 1927 to Mack and Effie E McCain Williams in Bernie, Missouri. Nelta was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. She loved to read her bible, sewing, crocheting, and baking pies. She enjoyed spending time with children. She is survived by her son, Blaine Pippins (Terri) of Terre Haute, a daughter, Elaine Osborn (Charley) of Bloomington, a brother, Dean Williams, sisters; Lodena Heigle (Ferrel) of Arkansas, and Jean Putman of Missouri, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, a husband, James Pippins (d. 1990), brothers, Everett Williams, Howard Williams, Lester Williams, Mack Williams, and Jack Williams, sisters, Donis Martin, and Doris DeGroot. Cremation was chosen with a memorial services scheduled for Sunday, June 24, 2018 in the Eastside Baptist Church, 2302 S 25th Street, Terre Haute, IN, 47802.
