Nimmer R. Nasser, 93, of Terre Haute, IN., passed away on April 9, 2022. Nimmer was born on November 4, 1928 in Terre Haute, Indiana. Nimmer was a real estate owner, and retired from Clean Air Service where he worked as a salesman for many years. Nimmer was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Army and a 68 year member of Humboldt Lodge 42, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, and Zorah Shrine. He went on to become potentate of Zorah Shrine in 1996. Nimmer was also a member of Jester’s Court 45. Nimmer had a passion for collecting classic cars. Nimmer is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Rahmeh Nasser, his wife, Janice N. Stanbary Nasser, daughter, Jana Ann Hoopingarner, sisters; Mary Nasser, Nadine Marina, Helen Lehman, and Katherine Seneff. Survivors include; one son, Scott Nasser, granddaughters; Amanda Brown and Rachel Hoopingarner as well as many nephews and great grandchildren; Nimmer was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed. Services will be held on Saturday April 16, 2022 in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Masonic Presentation will be at 1:30 on Saturday followed by Past Potentates with Fez Presentation following. Visitation is from 11:00a.m. until 1:30pm on Saturday. Pastor Brett Wilson will officiate following Masonic Services. Nimmer will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
