Norma Westjohn-Sears, 85, was called home by our Lord and angels peacefully on June 3, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones in her home. She was born in Jasonville to Henry and Dorothy King. She ran an in-home daycare for many years. Her hobbies include crocheting and bowling; but what she loved the most was her family, family get-togethers, friends, shopping and dancing with her beloved husband, Norman. Norma is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Norman E. Sears, whom she married March 26, 2016.
Also surviving are her children, Karen Steinberg (Bill Smith), Randy Cooprider (Janis), Rick Fisher (Debi), and Mona Pelltier (Scott); stepsons Steve Sears (Jenette Flesher) and Kevin Sears (Leah); son-in-law Jack Singleton and daughter-in-law Alice Keller; brother-in-law Robert (Mary) Sears; and nephews she helped raise and loved as her own, Leroy Banfield and Jerry (Pattie) Banfield.
There were many people she touched and loved throughout her life, so many we cannot name them all. Some very special ones are Doug and Becky Gibson, and Cindy and John Gallion.
Nannie, as she was known by all, had 14 grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Nine siblings also survive, Reba Williams, Larry Keller, Darlene Shepherd, Nora Jean Bolen, Alice Anderson, Vicky Gatz, Melody Force, Betty Marshall and Connie Mckee.
Preceding her in death were former husbands Floyd Keller, Richard Fisher, Joseph Anderson and Robert Westjohn; children Brenda Dawn, Susan Singleton and Oscar Keller; grandson Travis Shawn Fisher and granddaughter Renee Fisher. The family would like to thank her caregivers and friends Pat and Cheryl Voll; Dave and Marla Stark; Becky Morgan; sisters Vicky Gatz and Reba Williams; stepson Steve Sears and Jenetta Flesher; grandchildren Brenda McCloud, Christie Lewis, Troy Fisher, Bobby D. Gibson, Phoebe Burch; nieces Connie Fields and Penny Pickens; Jackie Opel; and Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
