Oran E. Jones Sr.

Oran E. Jones Sr., 80, of Cloverdale, passed away January 20, 2021 in Putnam County Hospital. He was born August 8, 1940 in Quincy, IN., to William Jones and Mattie Jones. He was retired from Allison Transmission and worked for Dales Auto and Repair after his retirement.  He was a member of the Coon Hunters Association and enjoyed helping his brother with his farm. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and was known to be generous to anyone who needed help. He enjoyed horses and loved spending time with his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife and soul mate, Brenda Sue Jones and siblings; Betty Collier, Byron Jones, Keith “Casey” Jones and Kenneth Jones. He is survived by two daughters; Tammy Marrisett of Greenville, TN., and Nancy Jones of Roachville, IN. He is survived by one son, Oran E. Jones Jr. of Amo, IN. He is survived by a close family friend, Zachary Couse. He is survived by siblings; Lisa Wood, Marley Mech (Michael) of Florida, Anna Craig Garner of Shelbyville, IN., Kirby Kay Garner of Daleville, IN., Eden Garner of Florida and Reagen Garner also of Florida. He is survived by nineteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
