Patricia Watkins Obituary

Patricia A. Watkins, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on May 5, 2025.  She was born on December 10, 1947, to Buss and Marjorie McCormick.  Patty worked at Moore Langdon for 17 years.  She was graduated from Honey Creek in 1965 and went on to earn her Master’s Degree from Indiana State University.  She held membership with Pinto Horse Association.  Patty loved all animals, especially her own.  She enjoyed decorating and also her plants.  Patty most of all loved her family and always chose to put others first. Patty graduated from Indiana State University in 1969 where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She then attended University of Arizona for her Masters Degree before a bout of mononucleosis forced to return home to Terre Haute where she later completed her degree at ISU. Patty's passion was horses which she began riding at age 2years. She later traveled the country with her parents showing and competing in many horse shows. She won many ribbons and trophies including being named National Pinto Queen. Patty had an amazing sense of humor even during difficult times. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents.  Patty is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Robert “Bobby” Watkins; children Timmy Watkins, Aaron Watkins (Mary), and Eric Watkins; grandchildren Ashley (Dylan), Cassie (Adyson), AJ, and Brooklyn (Thomas); and 2 great grandchildren.  In honoring her wishes, cremation has been chosen.  On May 17, 2025, at 11:00a.m., there will be a memorial mass at St. Joseph University Parish, 113 South 5th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47807.
