Paul D Cook

Paul D. Cook, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday November 12, 2020 in Westminster Village. Paul was born August 2, 1938 in Terre Haute to Marvin Cook and Maude Smith Cook. Paul was a longtime member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church and Oregon Baptist Church. He worked for Guarantee Roofing for many years as well as Indiana Wholesalers. He retired from Progressive Renovations where he worked alongside his son Ron. He was a member of the award winning Crusaders Gospel Quartet, they often performed at the same events as The Oakridge Boys and the Statler Brothers. He enjoyed computers and technology, pictures and most importantly spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty D. Cook who passed away June 16, 2020 and two daughters, Denise Hicks who passed away July 21, 1986 and Lisa Riddle who passed away November 3, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Floyd Cook,Vernon Cook, Joe Cook, Glen Cook and a sister, Wanita “Sis” Hewitt and a daughter in-law Tammy Cook who passed away April 30, 2015.  He is survived by three sons; Don Cook (Rhonda) of South Carolina, Ron Cook (Debbie) of Terre Haute and Barry Cook of Ohio. He is survived by one daughter, Tonya Arthur (Larry) of North Terre Haute. He is survived by two son in-laws; Mike Hicks and Steve Riddle. He is survived by eighteen grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Services are at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday November 19, 2020 at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Brown will be officiating. Private burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Eighth Avenue Baptist Church or Oregon Baptist Church, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
