Perry " Norvus" Dale Turley

Perry Dale Turley " Norvus", 92, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on September 24, 2025.  He was born on May 20, 1933, in Sullivan, Indiana, to Charles and Eva (Butler) Turley.  Perry was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.  Perry was also an avid bowler, who played in leagues.  His true enjoyment was watching NASCAR, the Indy 500, and being at a race track.  He also enjoyed traveling. He was once on the Hoosier Millionaire Show and his claim to fame in 1959 he was a world's record holder for Pole setting here in Terre Haute.  He is survived by his children: Milton Turley (Lisa), Pamela Behem (Tim Limp), Mark Turley (Kurt Angermeier), and Eric Turley (Nicole); 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years Katherine Turley; son Scott Turley; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.  Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 6:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4:00p.m. until service time.
