Phyllis Ann (Haggar) Pound

Phyllis A. Pound, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday November 9, 2022 at Hutson Woods in Brazil. Phyllis was born in Terre Haute on July 9, 1940 to Sumner Kyle and Lenore Haggar Kyle. She graduated from Riley School in 1958 and was a member of North Union United Methodist Church as a child, Blackhawk Community Church from 1960-1978, World Gospel Church from 1978 to 2009 and was presently attending Grace Community Church and went on a Mission trip representing the church. She loved spending time with her family, taking care of and making beautiful crafts for others and loving on babies. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sumner and Lenore Kyle, parents in-laws, Herbert and Dorothy Pound, a sister, Karen Kyle Sagraves, a brother in-law, James Pound and her son, David Pound. She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Pound whom she married April 9, 1961, a daughter, Diana Mahurin (Doug) and a son, Danny Pound. Grandchildren survive; Maggie Schuetz (Kurt), Megan Stevenson (Dustin), Bethany Mahurin (Adam Mathis) and Kimberly Pound. Great Granddaughter’s survive; Ana Norris and Raya Stevenson. Nieces survive; Jami Williams (Paul) and their children, Brian and Chelsea, Mandy Kyle, Sara Johnson (Clint) and their children Jenna and Jason and Lisa Sagraves and her daughter Olivia. She is also survived by two sister in-laws; Sherry Pound and Betty Pound. Services are Thursday November 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN, 47804. Visitation is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
