Rachel Genese Potter
Genese was born September 14, 1982, to Quentin Sr. and Rachel Isabell. Genese was baptized in Jesus’s name and filled with the Holy Ghost at a very early age, as well as accepting the call to the ministry. She served faithfully as the youth minister at True Gospel under the pastorate of her father, Bishop Quentin Isabell Sr. Genese was educated in the schools of Vigo County and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development. She had a deep love for children and even took on the role of foster parent for some time. In October 2016, Genese married the love of her life, Jerome Potter. Together, they attended Highland Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Koffman, and later made the transition to The Sanctuary Terre Haute, their current church home. Genese was truly a vibrant joy with a wonderful sense of humor. She was also a drummer and enjoyed collecting dolphin-themed items. Genese is preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Mark Isabell; mother, Rachel Armentra Isabell; and grandmother, Mary Frances Isabell. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memory: Husband, Jerome Potter; father, Quentin Isabell Sr.; brother, Quentin (Shree) Isabell Jr.; nieces, Kasia and Kamia Isabell; best friend Ken’Niesha Hoskins; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at The Sanctuary Terre Haute 2311 Locust Street Terre Haute In, 47807 at 12pm, visitation from 10am until time of service. Greiner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
