Raymond Henry Downing, 82 of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away March 27, 2021. He was born August 15, 1938, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Walter Downing and Ellen Downing.  Raymond worked in construction as a superintendent for many years in Florida.  He was a good Dad, Brother, Friend and Grandpa.  He will be missed.  Raymond is proceeded in death by his parents Ellen and Walter; Sister's Mary and Barbara; Brother Harry; grandson Kenny Sims Jr, great grandson, Aiden Northcutt. Raymond is survived by his children Melissa Sims (Kenny) and Steven Downing; grandchildren Alexis Sims, (Lance)  Kyle Sims, (Paige)  Peyton Sims, (Alyssa) Kandi Northcutt; and great grandchildren Sebashtian Sims, Haley Sims, Kinsley Sims and Gage Hudson;   sister Alice Walker (Dallas) and best friends Dennis Kerns and Danny Floyd.  No services are scheduled at this time,   The family has entrusted care and arrangements to Greiner Funeral Home.
