Rene Sherman Lemmons, 90, of Fontanet, passed away Saturday September 5, 2020 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. Rene was born March 3, 1930 in Fontanet, IN to Virgil Lemmons and Myrtle Wood Lemmons. He was retired from Alcan the former Anaconda. He was a member of the Sycamore “A”s Model A Ford Club of the Wabash Valley and the Old Fiddler Association as well as playing in many local bands in the area. Rene Sherman Lemmons, 90, of Fontanet, passed away Saturday September 5, 2020 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. Rene was born March 3, 1930 in Fontanet, IN to Virgil Lemmons and Myrtle Wood Lemmons. He was retired from Alcan the former Anaconda. He was preceded in death by his parents,  wife, Pauline Hamilton Lemmons who passed away April 17, 2015, a daughter in-law Kathy Lemmons, a son in-law Mark Barker, brothers; Raymond Lemmons and Freeman Lemmons and sisters; Julia Rogers and Verna Fredericks. His survivors include a daughter, Rena Barker of Bowling Green, a son Kenny Lemmons of West Terre Haute. Grandchildren; Raina (Ron) Heckelsberg, Jeffrey Lemmons, Jeremiah (Melissa) Lemmons, Neil (Stacey) Barker and a granddaughter in-law Jodi Snyder. Great Grandchildren; Austin Heckelsberg, Wyiatt Heckelsberg, Brayden Lemmons, Gavin Lemmons, Hudson Lemmons, Griffin Donnar, Gabe Donnar, Colton Barker. Great Great Grandchildren; McKynlee, Piper, Liam, Emily and Levi. He is also survived by sister in-laws; Betty Kneller (Charles), Judy Lemmons and Shirley Hamilton. He is survived by brother in-laws; Wayne Hamilton (Dorothy) and Billy Hamilton (Joan). Private services are planned with burial at Rosedale Cemetery.
