Robert Joseph Barnes

Robert Joseph Barnes, 64, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away, at IU Methodist in Indianapolis, unexpectedly April 10, 2021, due to a sudden illness.  He was born September 3, 1956, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Robert D. Barnes and Barbara Zellers Barnes.  Robert served in the United States Marine Corp.  He worked in the trucking business for over 42 years. Robert was loving husband, father, and papaw.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years Wilma (Church) Barnes; sons Paul Barnes (Chrissy), Dean Barnes (Jennifer), and Joseph Barnes (Jennifer); 14 grandchildren; and sister Brenda Bridges.  Robert was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Riley Barnes. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 16, 2021, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute ,Indiana, 47804.  Steve Hay will officiate.  Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, April 15, 2021, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.
