Robert M. Johnson, 77, of Lewis, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 30. He was born September 5, 1944, in Clinton, Indiana to Robert Earl Johnson and Mabel Genevery Shannon Johnson.
He was formerly employed by the Terre Haute Tribune Star and J.I. Case. He retired from Ivy Hill Packaging and was a member of the printer’s union. Robert M. Johnson was a founding member of the Cloven Hoofs Motorcycle Club of Terre Haute. He enjoyed taking trips with members of the club to Sturgis and Daytona bike weeks, and other bike runs in the country. He enjoyed time in his garage, always finding a project to work on with a tool in his hand.
He is survived by his son Robert J. Johnson, daughter-in-law Lauri Johnson, and grandchildren Ryan and Kayla Johnson. Survivors also include Katherine Padgett, long-time partner and caregiver, and several cousins.
Visitation for Robert M. Johnson will be held on Saturday, June 4, 4-6 PM, followed by a memorial service at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana.
