Robert Oehl Obituary

Robert William Oehl, 71, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away September 24, 2018.  He was born August 20, 1947, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Carl Oehl and Dorothy (Connett) Oehl.  Robert was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School, Class of 1965. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force. Robert was a member of the Breakfast Optimist Club where he served on the Board of Directors. He was also a member of the Sycamore Club.  He enjoyed fishing and golfing.  Robert worked in advertising sales at the Tribune Star and worked as an Inspector with the Terre Haute Housing Authority.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert is survived by his wife  Patti (Eberly) Oehl; daughters Amy Oehl and Lesley Hicks; grandsons Tyler and Tristan Hicks; sister Carla Floyd; and niece Emily Cottee and husband Brian Cottee, and great niece and nephew: Carli and Kyle Cottee.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Sycamore Club. A special thank you from our family to Union Hospital ICU/RT staff, Dr. S. Gowda, Dr. P. Patel, Union Hospital Pulmonary Rehab staff and Hospice of the Wabash Valley. Monetary Donations may be made to the Sycamore Club of Terre Haute. 200 Heritage Dr. TH, IN 47803.
