Robert “Bob” Lyman Cooper, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away July 15, 2020, in his home with his loving family by his side. Bob was born June 17, 1943 in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Claude L. Cooper and Leona (Gresham) Cooper. Bob served his country proudly in the United States Army. He served in Vietnam from 1966-1968. Bob and his wife Becky currently own and operate Private Security Service for the last 38 years. He was also a salesman for Dorsett Auto Sales on Lafayette Ave for 28 years, and later he sold for Ron Dodson Classic Cars until his retirement. Bob has held membership with Harley Owners group, Terre Haute Corvette Club, lifetime membership with VFW 972 and American Legion Post 104. He enjoyed NASACR races and the World of Outlaws. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Becky (Myrick) Cooper; daughter Sheri Cooper; son Rob Cooper (Molly); granddaughters Harley Cooper and Madison Hinton; brother Gene Cooper (Pat);sisters Carolyn McKee (Kevin) and Barbara Cooper (Bob); several nieces and nephews; and special friends Don and Deb Szatkowski and Jim Cundiff. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Gary Cooper and Judy Cooper. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2020, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Pastor Ansil Harpold will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, July 19, 2020, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Pallbearers will be Gene Cooper, Michael Dickey, Tim Dickey, Seth Dickey, Chet Dickey, Caleb Dickey, Grant Dickey, and Mark Shew. Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Cooper, Gene Cooper, Tom McKee, Bryan Rilenge, and Steve Rilenge. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Wabash Valley for the care and compassion Bob received.
