Robert "Mike" Michael Hayden

Robert Michael Hayden, beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away on March 22, 2025 at the age of 70. 

Mike was born on February 18, 1955 in Bethesda, Maryland to Billie and Frances Hayden. He enjoyed living life to the fullest and was an avid bowler, a loving cat dad to Mackie and Cubbie,  and a passionate traveler who especially enjoyed cruises. 

Mike was the dear oldest child of Frances; beloved father to daughters Sara (Luke) Parris and Beth Hayden; devoted grandfather to Kai, Samuel, and Finn Hough, and Jackson and Henry Parris; cherished brother of Patricia Farnsworth, Greg (Dawn) Hayden, Judy (Donald) Elrod, Ed (Rachel) Hayden, Tina Hayden (David Weston), and Angela Hayden; adored uncle to many nieces and nephews, and treasured bonus uncle of John Hegedus.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Billie. 

Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family is left with memories of him coaching basketball and softball, playing games with his grandchildren, and chatting nonstop about his rescue cats.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, from 12:00p.m. until service times.
