Rosalyn Hollifield Obituary

Heaven gained a beautiful angel on 8/24/2024 at 9:25AM when Rosalyn Kay Hollifield passed away peacefully in Union Hospital in Terre Haute.  Rosalyn was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on July 24,1941 to Carl Hollifield and Betty Hollifield. She lived to be 83 years of age. Rosalyn retired from Ely Lilly in Clinton, Indiana and retired from there in 2003. In her personal life, Rosalyn She loved spending time with her grandsons and listening to audiobooks. She was quite artistic and was previously a ceramics instructor as well as an accomplished seamstress, knitter, and crocheter. She was also an avid genealogy researcher.  She was a huge animal lover and spent many years of her life rescuing and caring for cats.  Rosalyn was an equestrian and for many years enjoyed training horses for therapeutic riding. Rosalyn was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Hollifield and Betty Hollifield and her sister, Barbara Naue. She is survived by her son Darryl Hollifield; two grandchildren, Matthew Hollifield and Andrew Patterson; nieces and nephews, Mark Owensby, Jeanine Owensby, Diane Owensby, Patricia Owensby, Mike Owensby, and Liz Naue Grimes.  She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Ouabache Valley Felines and Friends, Inc. at 7300 E.
