Russell Carl Scott

Russell Carl Scott, 63, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away August 24, 2023. He was born January 6, 1960, in Bloomington, Illinois to Carl and Dorothy Jean (Amstadt) Scott. He attended Trinity Lutheran School in Bloomington, Illinois and Universal High School in Normal, Illinois. He was employed at Wal-Mart. Russell enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, family gatherings, and playing horseshoes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, P.A. Gordon. He is survived by his significant other, Nancy Dixon and grandchild Kaydins Dixon; children, Tommy Dixon (Chrissy); Cassey Dixon; Brandy Dixon (Mark); Kathy Romig (Lonny); Jay Dixon (Heather); Sonceearay Scott (Matt); David Dixon (Cindy) and Emily Dixon; 32 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother Randy Scott of Bloomington, Illinois; sisters Toni Braun (Gary) of Augusta, Georgia and Tami Scott of Naperville, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been chosen with a celebration of life on September 29, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the pavilion in Collett Park.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.greinerfuneralhome.com.
